Everyone’s a critic

9781781082997Reviews for my upcoming novel, Signal to Noise (have you bought a copy?) are beginning to pop up.

Publisher’s Weekly says “This accurate depiction of outcast teenage life cycles effortlessly between eras. Meche, Sebastian, and Daniela are deeply believable characters, and numerous ’80s musical references make this unusual story a welcome blast from the past.”

Future Fire calls it “a captivating story about friendship, music and magic, set in Mexico City.”

A Spanish-language blog made a playlist of the music and proclaimed it “understands Mexico’s 80s pop culture.”

It’s also been reviewed at Goodreads.

The book comes out in February and is only $10.

In other news, my first non-speculative story (what???) is in the crime/noir magazine The Big Click. It’s titled “Jackals.”

I will be a guest at Necronomicon 2015 in Providence this August.
